Journalism of Hope

Today is Diwali. Three years ago around Diwali time in 2003, Rajeev Srinivasan wrote an excellent piece of optimistic journalism. Read the full article here: Bullish on Bihar: Go East, young man!

I am linking this article since its relevance is much more today than it was 3 years back.

This is indeed an excellent piece of writing and ends on a very postive note;
If I were a young and adventurous person, I would head out to the badlands of Bihar, figure out the corridors where growth is most likely to happen, and invest here. But being older and less brave, I merely advise others to do so. In the medium term, meaning in the next 20 years, Bihar will be a success story.
My thumbs up to Rajeev Srinivasan. What is junta's opinion?

Rajiv has always been famous for his sharp fact based analysis on issues pertaining to India. It was a pleasant surprise to read such a refreshing and positive story coming from someone of his stature. Makes it especially sweet since he is from god's own country Kerala and so can be trusted to have a balanced insider (Indian) and outsider (non-bihari) perspective
